Love this Sarah, I love that line ‘summer slides into autumn’, it holds so much promise.
Thank you, Andrea 🙂 And you being the nature expert, perhaps I can ask you what sort of fungi those are, so I can add their name as a tag to this post. The nearest picture I could find online was of some kind of edible fungi, but don’t want give them the wrong name and cause someone to eat something poisonous!
Sorry Sarah, I can identify some fungi, but not a lot – maybe a woodtuft? – I would never eat a mushroom from the wild in case I misidentified it – there are other brown mushrooms that are deadly 🙂
Now it seems like a Monday with your haiku appearing in my mail box. Summer is hanging on here, but sooner rather than later, autumn will make its appearance.
Yes, I’m back again with my Monday regular, but have loads of catching up to do with reading my blogging friends’ posts. Will visit you soon and see what you’ve been up to whilst I’ve been away…
I’m not convinced by the prospect of autumn, following on from the damp squib that this summer has proved to be. I guess if I blank my mind to the season that follows autumn, I might just about deal with it. Live each day as if it were your last, and all that blah….
Thank you, Shey, although officially the Autumn Equinox isn’t until September 23rd … says me, who’s wearing several layers of clothes today (five to be precise), and that’s down on the south coast!

I know what you mean. Even when I see some in the wild that look identical to the ones sold in the shops, I steer clear …just in case!
