Down yonder, in bluebell woods,
my chocolate dog.
Love immortalised in paint,
such sweet banishment of gloom.

Spring vegetation
Green shows off its many shades
Smells almost too rich

Too damp to spark fire,
flint and sticks lie abandoned
in muted woodland.

White-lace takeover
Woods engulfed by cow parsley
Roadside verges too
