Perspectives #Haikai

In this space, my form.
Inhale ~ pause ~ exhale.
My moment, that's all.
Close by bumble-bee
locked in buzz pollination.
Its moment, that's all.
Mid-distant birds swoop
upon windwoosh air currents.
Their moment, that's all.
Far-off faux hornet,
motorcyclist races time.
His moment, that's all.
Beyond orbs, dark space.
Airless, lightless, void between.
Our moments are all.

    1. Dear Rochelle,

Thank you, so much. You have made me happy, as has Dale. My creativity is a bit spasmodic at the moment, due to worldwide compulsory incarceration. It is hard to concentrate or settle to anything.

I really enjoyed our girls’ chat the other day, once the three of us worked out the time, due to yours and Dale’s clocks having changed and not mine!

      All best wishes,
      Sarah

  1. Beautifully-written my dear friend. I loved the faux hornet phrase. Very creative! And the message, at least to me, our lives are made up of billions of such moments, random, aimless, seemingly meaningless, and yet added all together they make up a life.

Well-lived? That is up to each of us, yes?

Wishing for you a life well-lived, today and always.

    Be safe, healthy, and happy!

    1. Thank you, dear Bill 🙂 That motorbike really did sound like a hornet — epecially as everything else was so quiet with the traffic stilled.

I’m trying to live well, but am having to work hard with motivation just now. But I guess sometimes we need to pause and see what happens within that pause.

Wishing you all the best and for you to stay safe, healthy and happy, too.

PS I’m aware I haven’t done your review yet. It will be done, I promise, as will the other thing I promised to do with your book. I heard a rumour that Amazon wasn’t selling books at the moment, as they’re not considered a necessity. I’m not sure if that includes their own kdp ones. Must check that out.

  2. This is a beautiful and profound series Sarah. I love the rhythm that makes me think about those small moments that make up the lives of every creature and that those moments are all we have and often the most important things we have.

    1. Thank you so much, Andrea 🙂 Yes, I agree that the small moments are the most important things we have. And if you were to add them all up, I’m convinced they’d amount to something mucher larger than we thought we ever believed possible.
