I know that smell is closely tied up with taste, which is probably why dogs are incredibly greedy as food is extra delicious to them.

I’m looking after a cocker spaniel, (Archie), for 2 months and he is nose to the ground, smelling, smelling, smelling, all the time on our walks! Smells are his life!
