A tails and claws haiku

Dog in the alley…

The neighbourhood cats scarper,

bushed tails skyward.

  1. I had to come back to this one and reread it again today. It is wonderful. Thank you.

  2. Thanks:-) It’s always really encouraging when people like one’s writing enough to read it more than once.

This did actually happen with the cats and it really made me laugh. They suddenly caught sight of my dog and about half a dozen of them shot off in every direction, with their tails up straight. To make it even more spectacular, each one of them was of a different colour – ginger, black, black and white, tabby etc.
