  1. Yes, I would say “ahead of the game,” at least in this part of the country. It will be another month before we see those brilliant colors.

As always, an enjoyable way to start my day.

    1. I’m expecting some daffodils to come into bloom this week. Their buds are getting fatter by the minute. We’re always ahead here. As with where you live, some parts of the UK will not show any brilliant colours for another month, either.

  2. Haven’t visited for a while, and look: just what the doctor ordered! Temperatures are mild as late March today, but none of my indoor plants are blooming, so any vicarious blossoms are appreciated. You’ve also just put in my head one of my favorite Louis Armstrong songs (by that title). 🙂

      1. Holding up! 🙂 You should see a new post soon; as the spring breaks, hopefully does the glacier in my mind. XX

      2. Yes, I’ve had a certain amount of icing-over in my mind, too. The mega-dose of Vitamin D prescribed by my doctor has helped chip away at the ice, but the sun hasn’t totally broken through yet! xox

  3. I love azaleas, have had one or two that have done beautifully and then…well, I’m not sure 😦 So glad to see yours thriving, well ahead of the game, dearest Sarah 🙂 xxxx

    1. I can only grow them in pots, as our soil is very alkaline what with all the chalk. The azalea plant in the picture, goes out in the garden (still in the pot) once there’s no chance of frost. I love flowers and can’t wait for it to be begonia and petunia season. But we mustn’t wish our lives away, must we, dearest Sherri 🙂 xxxx

      1. Yes, I only ever grew them in pots too. They are so beautiful. Ahh…yes, bring on flower season, but remember to enjoy the one we’re in now 🙂 So much enjoyed catching up with your posts today dearest Sarah. I am so out of the loop I feel as if I’ll forget how to blog altogether if I don’t get going. Your blog is the first one I’ve visited for ages…and I’m so glad to be here again, hanging out with you 🙂 xxxx

      2. Dearest Sherri, I knew when I saw my robin on the tree outside my office window this morning that I would hear from you today. I’m very happy that my blog was the first one you visited for ages. I do so hope that things will level out for you soon, and allow you time for creativity. Thinking of you, as always. 🙂 xxxx

      3. Ahh…that’s so sweet dearest Sarah…you’ve brightened my day with your lovely message, thank you! 🙂 ❤ And you'll see my post up later today with the link to your poetry post over at Bill's…and how I think I'm now able to proceed, without going into long detail of 'behind the scenes' stuff and hopefully managing to keep things going while I get my memoir finished…oh dear Lord, I do hope so… ❤ xxxx

    1. Sorry, I’ve only just seen this kind comment of yours, as it went into my spam. I have checked out your creations now and am following your blog, as your pictures make me feel happy 🙂 You are very talented.

  4. Look at that beautiful flower! Hmm…it’s like…beckoning you for a story. 😀
And to answer your question from the other day: well, I’ve never re-written a classic. But I do enjoy when folks do. Perhaps I’ll try that sometime. 🙂
In any case, fun haiku! Happy Friendship and Hearts Day!

    1. All day, things beckon me for stories — oh, that there were more hours in the day to yield to all those ideas — but maybe there will be an azalea story one day, as an extension of my haiku 🙂

    1. Thank you, Leigh 🙂 Usually, if we get any snow, it’s in January or February, although none now for the last 3 years. But who knows what will happen this year, as the world generally seems to have gone topsy-turvy at the moment!
