  2. Yes, I would say “ahead of the game,” at least in this part of the country. It will be another month before we see those brilliant colors.

    1. I’m expecting some daffodils to come into bloom this week. Their buds are getting fatter by the minute. We’re always ahead here. As with where you live, some parts of the UK will not show any brilliant colours for another month, either.

  3. Haven’t visited for a while, and look: just what the doctor ordered! Temperatures are mild as late March today, but none of my indoor plants are blooming, so any vicarious blossoms are appreciated. You’ve also just put in my head one of my favorite Louis Armstrong songs (by that title). 🙂

      2. Yes, I’ve had a certain amount of icing-over in my mind, too. The mega-dose of Vitamin D prescribed by my doctor has helped chip away at the ice, but the sun hasn’t totally broken through yet! xox

    1. I can only grow them in pots, as our soil is very alkaline what with all the chalk. The azalea plant in the picture, goes out in the garden (still in the pot) once there’s no chance of frost. I love flowers and can’t wait for it to be begonia and petunia season. But we mustn’t wish our lives away, must we, dearest Sherri 🙂 xxxx

      1. Yes, I only ever grew them in pots too. They are so beautiful. Ahh…yes, bring on flower season, but remember to enjoy the one we’re in now 🙂 So much enjoyed catching up with your posts today dearest Sarah.     1. All day, things beckon me for stories — oh, that there were more hours in the day to yield to all those ideas — but maybe there will be an azalea story one day, as an extension of my haiku 🙂

    1. Thank you, Leigh 🙂 Usually, if we get any snow, it’s in January or February, although none now for the last 3 years. But who knows what will happen this year, as the world generally seems to have gone topsy-turvy at the moment!
