Lilac

Innocent, that kiss
beneath lilacs in springtime.
You sneezed: hay fever!

  1. I’ve only a mild allergy to Lilac, but the fragrance is intoxicating, so like any good addict, I put up with the adverse side effects… Thanks for my morning smile.

    1. It wasn’t me with the hay fever, but the t’other part of the equation! I’m the person who likes visiting gardens in bloom in mid-summer and sticking my nose in every flower (except the ones containing bees!). I especially love the smell of old-fashioned roses. So intoxicating.
