#Tanka 43 – Car Ferry

Sun cocoons island
Promise of a calm crossing
~Countdown to cast off~
On mainland life changes gear
Fast roads cause slight brain schism

    1. I think you are so good at portraying that same thing in your writing too, Andrea. What would we do without our moments of tranquillity to sustain and refresh us? I think I might go mad if someone told me I would be subject to noise and busy-ness for every day of the rest of my life D:

  1. I loved the tanka, of course, but my other observation is your mud flats look just as uninviting as our mud flats. lol

Wishing you a brilliant Thursday, dear friend!

    1. Thanks 🙂 They are only little mud flats. I quite liked the look of them from the ferry, and could imagine taking my shoes off and squidging across them quite happily on another occasion! But, need I tell you? I am strange 😉
Gosh, it’s Friday now and nearly time for a cup of tea and a flapjack, and I’ve done nothing that anyone would call work today. Have been chatting on FB messenger though, about some mutual beta reading/a book swap in November, so had better get down to some hard work this October.
Wishing you a brilliant weekend, dear Bill 🙂

    1. Thank you, Cybele 😉 I adore my trips to the Isle of Wight, when I visit my daughter and grandkids (or can I call my 16 year-old granddaughter a kid anymore? She’s very much a young lady, methinks!).
