Monday Morning #Haiku 195 — Caterpillar

Moth caterpillar…
Wiggle, munch, all legs and hair:
wings, its destiny.

    • Dear Shey, it’s a good Monday today as my writer’s block of many weeks, has finally lifted, thanks to my son’s caterpillar pic 🙂 Yay, to inspiration. I’d been severely missing the euphoria that goes with it xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  2. I’ve always loved caterpillars. Now, with your haiku, I can love them poetically. 🙂 I hope your Monday is all you want it to be, dear friend.

    • Thanks, Bill, I’m having a good Monday and have spent the garden outside in the sun planting various potentially colourful flowers in pots. Caterpillars are beautiful. When my son was little, we had what we called our “caterpillary”, stocked with caterpillars harvested from nasturtiums specifically planted for the purpose. We released plenty of the resulting cabbage white butterflies back into the wild, doubtless to feast on many a gardeners’ veggie patch. Many decades later, I’ve realised what voracious appetites these particular butterflies have for green vegetables D: Ignorance is bliss. That being said, I’ve just repotted some nasturtiums that I’ve grown from seed, but our allotment is a couple of miles away on a separate plot! Wishing you a happy Monday, my dear friend, and a productive week 🙂

  3. And what a destiny – it can’t be all bad being a caterpillar, as long as you don’t get eaten of course!

  5. Dear Sarah,

Happy to see your muse is back at it.

    So few syllables
    Words fitly written in time
    Spring is in the air.

See there’s a reason you write haiku and I don’t. Title my verse, “Well done, Sarah.”

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

    • Dear Rochelle,

Your haiku made me smile. Thank you 🙂

My muse is back, but life isn’t allowing me much time for creativity. I can’t see me having time to do a readthrough of my latest novel until June, so will just have to accept that and deal with it.

I’ve a huge backlog of books to review, too, as have read some truly wonderful novels this year to keep me sane! I so want to share with people about these gems.

      All best wishes,
      Sarah
