  Thanks, Bill, I’m having a good Monday and have spent the garden outside in the sun planting various potentially colourful flowers in pots. Caterpillars are beautiful. When my son was little, we had what we called our “caterpillary”, stocked with caterpillars harvested from nasturtiums specifically planted for the purpose. We released plenty of the resulting cabbage white butterflies back into the wild, doubtless to feast on many a gardeners’ veggie patch. Many decades later, I’ve realised what voracious appetites these particular butterflies have for green vegetables D: Ignorance is bliss. That being said, I’ve just repotted some nasturtiums that I’ve grown from seed, but our allotment is a couple of miles away on a separate plot!   I wonder if those hairs on the caterpillar deter the birds. It could feel a bit like swallowing a tickling stick or bottlebrush, since birds don’t chew their food first!

  My muse is back, but life isn’t allowing me much time for creativity. I can’t see me having time to do a readthrough of my latest novel until June, so will just have to accept that and deal with it.
  
  I’ve a huge backlog of books to review, too, as have read some truly wonderful novels this year to keep me sane! I so want to share with people about these gems.
