Monday Morning #Haiku 155 & 156 — Dandelion/Grandpa

Dandelion clocks
exist to taunt gardeners
and thrill herbalists.

Grandpa wears a hat
for fear of losing his hair
in a puff of wind.

  1. Only a talented writer and an imaginative soul would find that metaphor from a dandelion. I absolutely love the way your mind works, and the words that spring forth from it! Have a great week, Sarah!

    1. Awww, you are sweet, Bill 🙂 I guess my metaphors spring up like dandelions from the literary mulch in my mind. Then it’s a case of catching those seeds of ideas and writing them down, before they fly away! You have a great week, too, my dear friend.

    1. Dear Rochelle,
I seem to be in your time-zone today, rather than my own, hence my two haiku going live during your Monday morning and my afternoon. I’m pleased that the comparison made you laugh 🙂
I was busy doing a very complicated competition entry earlier on today, with four hours to go to the deadline, so you can imagine that the techno gremlins were working big-time to prevent my submission from happening!
      All best wishes,
      Sarah

    1. Thank you, Cynthia. I’m glad you enjoyed my two haiku 🙂 My start to the week hasn’t been too bad, although I’m a bit overtired at the moment. More sunshine and fresh air required, I think.
