    1. Today, we have weather as warm as Summer, with wasps thinking it’s still August, while the Brent geese have arrived in their hundreds for the winter. Such is the confusion of nature, as the seasons blend into each other without the strict delineation of a few decades back.

      1. yes, we are seeing more and more of that lack of delineation in Canada.
Here in Cuenca, we don’t have seasons so it is a different way of life to get accustomed to

    1. I’m liking Autumn more than usual this year. Perhaps it’s your influence, Andrea! I went walking yesterday in our local national park/beauty spot, Cuckmere Haven. It was so beautiful. There were silvery fish jumping out of the water, cormorants, swans, herons, and some kind of white wading bird like a mini heron (any ideas what it could be?).

      1. Yes, that’s what it was, Andrea. Thanks for helping identify the bird 🙂 I’ve just downloaded my photos onto my PC and discovered that I managed to capture the egret in flight, which was a real surprise as I don’t have a speed shutter on my camera. Will post the picture in due course. Meanwhile, today’s haiku, which I’m just about to post, is inspired by Cuckmere Haven.
