Thank you, blondeusk 🙂 Spring is trying very hard to assert itself down south, if it weren’t for a cutting easterly wind.

Stunning image, Sarah. Reminds me of that old 1950’s Eddie Calvert piece. ‘Cherry pink and apple blossom white’. He was a really great trumpet player. 🙂

Ah, nostalgia, Sylvia. Yes, I know the Eddie Calvert piece. I remember my parents dancing to it. Here it is for those who haven’t heard the tune before.

Wonderful, Sarah! And I like that the blue sky is peaking through the branches 🙂

Thank you, Christy. Oh yes, the blue backcloth is most important. Unfortunately, today it is grey backcloth, dispensing the occasional drizzle, but then cherry blossom with a light sprinkling of moisture looks quite pretty in a different way 🙂

I think your spring is about 2 weeks ahead of our spring.

I guess I’m located a bit further south than you. Also, my town is meant to have more hours of sunshine per year than the majority of the UK, although not convinced. I know there are lots of palm trees and other tropical niceties growing in our gardens!

Coiffed — now that’s a word I haven’t used applied to trees, Cybele. A wonderful description.

aww, thanks! and then there is the expression of hair looking like a bird’s nest!! 😀

My hair used to look like a bird’s nest when I wore it shorter and hadn’t discovered the taming qualities of a tiny smear of olive oil and lavender essence upon my “twigs”!
