I think the snow is a really nice touch on the part of WordPress. From what I remember, it’s just a December feature, then the snow is switched off again!
I have to admit that I took the photo as I liked the look of the shrub, but in complete ignorance of it being a nutmeg. It was Mister who identified it for me from one of his gardening books.
No, I didn’t plant it but saw it hanging over somebody’s fence when I was out walking near the golf course (the same day as I took that photo of the lone crab apple featured in last week’s haiku). I love the taste of nutmeg, especially on custard tarts and on tapioca pudding. Yum 🙂
I’m being a terribly inattentive fellow blogger this week, Sherri, as have had too, too, too many distractions. Will do a catch up of yours by Thursday at the latest, as today is proving hectic, too. I’ll look forward to your email 🙂

Thanks, Sherri 🙂 I’ll take a look at it shortly. Don’t worry about last minute. I’m the one who always submits writing competition entries right up against the deadline. That being said, I actually succeeded this week in emailing a first chapter, synopsis, and author bio to a publisher on the second day of a one-week open submission slot!
Wow, well done Sarah…that’s great and I wish you every success with it 🙂 But I’m glad I’m not the only one who seems to run right up to the deadline 😉
