Monday Morning #Haiku 32 — Double Rainbow

Double Rainbow 2

First glance, one rainbow.
Look closer, double your luck
with two pots of gold.

According to Irish mythology, there’s a pot of gold rainbow belonging to a leprechaun (fairy) at the end of each rainbow, although first you must catch the leprechaun to find the pot. But before you have a go, you best assess your chances of succeeding by clicking on this link

The good news is that, even if you don’t catch the elusive little blighter, rainbows are meant to bring you luck.

  1. Rainbows are lucky. Hum . . . I’ve only saw one rainbow in my whole life. Maybe that’s why my luck is so bad. But I don’t think Leprechauns are causing havoc in my home. I enjoyed reading this.

  2. It’s only a myth then? When I stayed with my aunt in Ireland many years ago she told me to wake up at midnight and I’d see the leprechauns dancing outside. Next thing I always knew it was morning 😦

    1. Such a missed opportunity, Roy!
As a child, I spent many hours at night, peering out from in front of my curtains to see if I could spot fairies in the hornbeam hedge in my garden. All I saw were glow worms, but that was exciting enough.
