Music Passion — Falling

My Music Passion for June is for all things Japanese. My number one favourite is Falling Cherry Blossoms, an instrumental played  by Verdo Maro Oriental Ensemble. For me, it’s one of those soul-stirring pieces of music that fills you up with positive energy and makes you want to embrace the universe.

This is closely followed by a weird and melancholy composition called Falling Cherry Blossoms, Floating Chrysanthemums by Randall Snyder , which is performed here by a mezzo-soprano and an English narrator, accompanied by bell, violin, harpsichord, and percussion.

Many thanks to Ghia at Jaycee68 for choosing this month’s theme that calls for music that has “Falling” in the title, with no restrictions on genres or decades.

  1. You’re right Sarah the first one is very warm and refreshing. It uplift my spirit. It’s nice for meditation too.
The second one is nice to listen too while playing or studying… hehehe 😆
Thanks dear, I enjoyed them both very much!

    • I’m glad you enjoyed them both, Dolly 🙂 Not sure if I could study while listening to the second one. My concentration is not too good, if there’s any noise going on at all. I have to work in silence, apart from the sound of the birds singing.

      Hugs to you, too xoxo

PS Are there going to be any For the Love of Haiku challenges soon?

  4. Lovely first piece Sarah – I love cherry blossom and I could easily picture the blossoms falling as I listened.

    • Glad you liked the first piece, Andrea 🙂 The second one was pretty strange, but sort of grew on me the second time I listened to it. Generally, I’m not into ultra modern instrumental music.

PS I haven’t forgotten about my blog tour post, but this week hasn’t let up on me at all. Will do this week, if there are no further exigencies 🙂
